0546 Patient-reported experience with a wireless patch-based polysomnography system – results from a pilot study

Abstract Introduction Sleep is critical for health and wellbeing. Left untreated, sleep disorders negatively impact daily functioning quality of life. The gold-standard monitoring diagnosis in-lab polysomnography (PSG). Though PSG provides a comprehensive overview sleep, it uncomfortable due to the amount sensors, which prohibit movement disturb sleep. A wireless patch-based system, Onera Test System (STS), consisting four body-worn was recently introduced overcome these limitations. objective this study evaluate patient-reported experience when using STS. Methods Forty-two patients were enrolled in Germany as part an ongoing validation study. Participants asked fill two questionnaires. first, administed before STS study, open-ended questions on their first impression device. second, administered after focused ease use device comfort wearing during night 5-point Likert scale. Results Thirty-six completed questionnaire (85%) 39 (93%) second. First positive by 86% patients. size sensors described acceptable 72%. stated that looked more comfortable than they expected improved accurate diagnosis. After completing with 69% found comfortable, no participant expressed strong discomfort Forehead sensor considered most (based 77% stating strongly agree or agree), followed Abdomen (74%), Leg (72%), Chest (69%). Most participants (72%) confidence ability fit themselves at home. Only one preferred be supported technician application system. Conclusion positive, majority simple enough unsupervised self-application, can allow undergo own Support (if any)
